The first proper day of camp is nearly over! Today we had the first of Dave C’s Bible teachings, the first wide game and the first Mission Talk! This year we are looking at France and tonight we will be sampling some French Cheeses! We also ate food, played games, made craft and got creative!

Today we went shopping for sweets and mended tents!

Warrior Camp is now looking like a proper camp! The bell tents are up, the sinks are in place and we now have a very special addition for the girl and boy lines – proper showers (well sort of)! In other news, the sheep to people ratio on the field has now gone over to the wooly side – sheep have been spotted around the bells and they seem to be making a stealthy approach to the kitchen – perhaps it will be lamb for tea?

Prep Week is hot! Lots and lots of sunshine, hard word and sore arms! The marquees are up, the wash tents are done and the services are in. Today’s tasks include setting up the sound systems, putting together the beds, cleaning and arranging the kitchen equipment and finishing the water systems. We have also had a visit from the nice people at Teen Camp – they are making good progress and seem to be having funs!
This year, Chris Sale has brought his light saber with him.

The last two days have passed in a whirlwind of hot weather and hard work! Both our marquess are now up, the fridges are cooling, the water is flowing and electricity is getting there!
Today’s tasks include going to Church, installing the kitchen, doo-flicking, stage building and frame-tenting.
We have a small team this year – we could really use some extra help! If you could come along for a day or two, please ring 07969 230066 now!
Please pray for help, safety, fun and getting the job done

With lorry unloaded on site, warrior camp prep-week can now begin! Today, the weather is dry the sun is out and the team are willing (well, still asleep but I assume they are up for a day of hard graft!). The first job of the day is to put up the kitchen store tent, followed but some frame tents for the arriving team. Pray for safety and sunshine x
There are still some spaces remaining!
The camper places on both Warrior and Teen camp are filling up fast, but there is still time to book in!
There are a few spaces on each week of both camps for individual bookings, and space for group bookings at various times.
If you would like to book in, or for more details and availability, please contact the WEC Youth Office today!
Leaders Weekend 2011
Amazingly, 122 people booked to come along to our leaders weekend! This was a great time with lots of fun, learning and team building. The weekend has given our teams a better understanding of camp, the practicalities and the expectations, the spiritual role and the way things work!
If you missed the weekend you can contact the WEC Youth Office to get a copy of the 2011 Leaders Handbook and other relevant/essential materials.
WEC Camps on FaceBook
WEC Camps now have an official page on FaceBook! Here you can safely chat and share pictures with your friends from camp!
Search for ‘WEC CAMPS’ on www.facebook.com
Please be aware that we recommend that leaders do not add campers as friends, and to keep all online conversations open to all.
