Leaders, Helpers and Kitchen Team Needed

Being part of the team on a WEC Camp is a great way to serve God, share your faith, meet new people help transform the lives of young people! We still have some spaces for the 2019 season, if you can spare some time we would love to hear from you!

Warrior Camp – Beer, Devon

  • Tent Leaders, Week B – spend time along side young people, playing games and learning about God.  
  • Mission Input – have you got a missionary experience to share? could you contribute to a mission meeting?
  • Set up & Pack Down – can you give an hour, a day or a week to help build the camp? There is no charge and it is always a great time of fellowship. 

Teen Camp – Charmouth, Dorset

  • Tent Leaders, Week A & B – spend time along side young people, playing games and learning about God.  
  • Set up & Pack Down – can you give an hour, a day or a week to help build the camp? There is no charge and it is always a great time of fellowship. 

Other Roles

  • Kitchen team – both camps cook all the meals on site and we need people to help! if you fancy spending a week helping to in the kitchen, please let us know!
  • Have another skill to offer? Why not get in touch and have a chat about how we can serve God together this summer?

Prep Week & Rear Guard – Help Needed!

Can you help WEC Camps get ready and pack down this summer? If you can spare an hour, a day or a week, please let us know!

Jobs include: loading & unloading the lorry, putting up tents, banging in pegs, putting the kitchen together, cleaning, fixing, carrying, unpacking and more! 

Prep week and rear guard is a great experience, with good fellowship and a real team atmosphere. If you want to know more, please contact the office today. 

Lorry Driver Needed

We are in need of a driver on Wednesday 17th July to help move the Warrior equipment from Coventry to Beer  Devon.

Driver must have a valid licence to drive an 18t rigid, a digital tach card and be within their driving hours.

If you can help us out or know some  one who can, please get in touch with the office today. 

Leaders Training Day 2019

WEC Camps Leaders’ Training Day – Saturday 29thJune 2019, James St Church (Full Gospel Mission), Coalville, LE67 3BX

This Training Day is for all those who are going to be involved in camp in whatever capacity.

It is designed to help you to be prepared for camp, spiritually and practically, with sessions like ‘how to look after your tent; lead a group quiet time; learn the camp routine’ and to get to know each other, plus times of reflection and prayer.

The programme will start promptly at 10:30 am on Saturday and will end at 5:45 pm.  Refreshments will be available from 9:30 am onwards.Lunch will be provided.         

The programme will run through the whole of Saturday with a mix of practical, discussion and devotional sessions with prayer and an opportunity for questions and answers. There will also be space to get to know others. 

There is no set cost for this event but there will be an opportunity to make a contribution if you wish.

It is very important that you attend this Training Day and essential if you are joining us for the first time.

 (Anyone attending camp for the first time who is unable to attend this day should contact us immediately so that we can make alternative arrangements for your orientation.) 

Please make every effort to come as we pray and prepare for camp together.

Directions to James St Church (Full Gospel Mission), Coalville, LE67 3BX

Note that the church is at the bottom of a cul-de-sac with parked cars either side of the road. Parking is available at the church and also on street or at the pay & display car park at the opposite end of James St. 

The church is approx 12 minutes from either M1 J22 or A42 J13. 

From A42

  1. Follow the A511 into Coalville and when at the roundabout with McDonalds on the right then turn right towards the town centre. 
  2. At the clock tower traffic lights proceed straight over onto Belvoir Rd. 
  3. After the mini roundabout turn right into Owen St) 
  4. Turn first left into Gutteridge St
  5. Turn first right into James St for the church or first left for the pay & display. 

From M1

  1. Follow the A511 into Coalville and when at the forth roundabout after the M1 then take first exit, signed Scotlands Industrial Estate. 
  2. At the second set of traffic lights (clock tower to your right) turn left onto Belvoir Rd.
  3. Continue from 3. above
